I am an evolutionary biologist with a fascination for the natural world. My work generally focuses on understanding how evolutionary pressures shape species and the ecosystems they inhabit. I am particularly interested in understanding speciation, phylogenetic diversification, and natural selection in the context of animal biodiversity.

Collaborating with the MELFU and CEBEL groups at Flinders University my master’s research explores how natural selection has driven adaptation in Australian bottlenose dolphins (Genus Tursiops). Using whole-genome sequencing, this project aims to uncover the environmental drivers of local adaptation, identify the genes and genomic pathways involved, and predict how dolphin populations may evolve in response to future climate change.
